BPI Program Fix

ACCPAC releases program fix for BPI

ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL, Inc. has placed a "Temporary Program Fix" for BPI on their website. This fix can be downloaded, copied to a blank diskette, and then installed into BPI through the Install Product command in BPI.

The fix is dated January 31, 2000, and is especially for existing users of BPI Accounting II version 5.0a. ACCPAC says that the fix will be incorporated into the next release of BPI, but that users should install this temporary fix in the meantime.

The fix includes the following for BPI Accounting:

1. A new G/L Print General Ledger program that corrects a problem with the G/L period selector for the report end period.

2. A new G/L Print Financial Reports program that prints "History N/A" instead of "Jan 1, 1900" when doing comparison reports and no comparable history is available.

3. A new A/P Enter Automatic Vouchers program that fixes a problem with the automatic generation of Invoice Date and Due Date.

4. A new Export program that fixes a problem with sift criteria in Export functions.

We installed the fix into our installation of BPI without any ill effects or obvious changes in the way BPI works. There is no data conversion necessary for the fix.
