Creating a Easy History 2000 Update Disk via downloading You can print this page to your printer now if you want written hardcopy instructions for this process. First, format a diskette. We'll assume it is in drive A: When you begin your download in a minute, if you are then prompted where you want to
put the downloaded file, specify A:\EH2000.EXE. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE UPDATE NOW Once the download has completed, get to a MSDOS prompt (perhaps C:\WINDOWS). The following instructions assume you downloaded EH2000.EXE to your A:\ directory. Change the directions accordingly if otherwise. Where it says XXXXXX below, substitute the unlocking password you were given when you registered. The password is case sensitive, so please enter it exactly as it is given to you. With your diskette still in drive A:, enter the following: A: (this will give you an A: prompt) The Easy History 2000 update files will decompress themselves, giving you an Easy History 2000 update disk. Then to install the update to your existing Easy History installation, keep your new Easy History 2000 update disk in drive A: and enter the following from a MSDOS prompt: C: (or whatever drive Easy History is already installed on) If you are prompted about overwriting existing files, answer Y to overwrite existing files. When the copy process is complete, your Easy History 2000 update files are installed. There are no data conversion tasks required for this update -- you are ready to use Easy History after you have completed the above steps.
